Published October 15, 2008

"Funny in Farsi" - Firoozeh Dumas is the featured author for Sac State's inaugural One-Book program this year. She's in town for a local event. Today on Insight, she'll tell you about her book, "Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America."

Christopher Fairman - Acclaimed local musician Christopher Fairman has a new record coming out and he's performing this weekend. He'll tell you about the darker, more reflective "85, 87" and you'll hear him perform live with Sacramento guitarist Nick York.

24 Hour Comics Day - Have you ever thought of creating a comic book in 24 hours? That's the idea behind "24 Hour Comics Day," an annual event where cartoonists around the world create 24 pages of comics in 24 hours. The owner of Empires Comics Vault in Sacramento - one of the host venues for the event - tells you about the day. This segment originally aired Oct. 16, 2007.
